The Owensboro Red Devils head to Christian Academy of Louisville this week with Tyson Biggs stepping in at quarterback after DaMarcus Ganaway Jr. was injured against St. Xavier.

Biggs has plenty of weapons around him, including Gavin Walker, Ayden Fountain and Kingston Dillard. He will look to get the ball into the hands of Owensboro’s playmakers and let them create opportunities.

The Red Devils’ defense will also face a major challenge in CAL’s Louisville commit, Ja’Hyde Brown. Key defenders like Ty Ashley and Tre Shemwell will be important in slowing him down.

Shemwell is coming off a big game against St. X, scoring a 28-yard touchdown and returning an interception 100 yards for a touchdown. His ability to make plays on both sides of the ball could be a factor again this week.

With Biggs taking over at quarterback and playmakers on both sides of the ball, Owensboro will look to earn a big road win in Louisville.
